Do I need to change bios setting after installing new ram?

I had 4gb ram installed in my desktop now i bought 2 slots of 8 gb each making a total of 16gb.

do i need to change any setting for it to work

my nvidia graphic card system information says i have 4gb total memory installed

but under computer properties it shows 16gb

Is it possible that my system is using only 2gb out of that 4gb showed by my graphic card and do i need to change any setting so make 4gb-16gb

If yes then please mention the steps.

The RAM that comes with the graphic card is separate from your system RAM, and you cannot upgrade the graphic card RAM...the only way to upgrade is to buy a new graphics card.
