Diversity in Psychology?

My teacher asked me to write a paper on that topic. However....I'm not entirely sure exactly of what she meant. She already asked us to do the fields of Psych, so the only ones I can think of would either be diverse research topics, or gender, LGBT, race, et cetera.....

What do you guys think?

I think you are on the right ball with those examples. Perhaps talking about how each upbringing or culture can shape the minds of someone.

So the prompt was "write a paper on diversity in psychology" - with nothing else? That's pretty broad, which means you can pretty much go whatever route you want. I agree with the previous post that some of your ideas are generally acceptable. You can explore differences clinically (how people from diverse backgrounds might approach therapy), academically (the amount of diversity in academia in psychology programs), socially, interpersonally, etc. Use the Hays (2002) ADDRESSING model to look at other ideas of how culture/diversity may impact people (I forget the entire acronym, but it stands for age, disability, religion, ethnicity, sexual identity, socioeconomic status, indigenous group, gender, and a few others I'm blanking on right now).
