Can I find cheap rent in Reno, Nevada?

I'm looking for a 2 bedroom apartment for me & my buddy for $500 or less. I prefer the closer to town the better. What neighborhoods should I look into, & what sort of thing should I expect? I'm from way out here on the East Coast, so I could sure use some info!

    At least $750-800 for two bedrooms, and that's not in choice neighborhoods. Why Reno?

    You will never find a ONE bedroom apartment in Reno for $500

    a month. So forget about a two bedroom apartment.
