I have a question about polyester comforters?

I'm interested in buying a queen polyester comforter (looking at at least) but the problem is I live in a room that gets very hot with the door shut (hotter in the summer) and with the door open at night i keep the fan on to help keep me cool and the air circulating. Sometimes I get a little chilly and sleep with a blanket underneath but even then I can heat up in the night as I wake up with the blanket to my side.

Anyway, I'm wondering, with a polyester comforter, will this cause me too heat up even more with an already warm room? Or will I feel as warm in my room as I do now do you think? With the door shut my room gets stuffy and uncomfortable because I become stuffy and too warm to sleep comfortably immediately. The comforter I'm looking at is in this link:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EQ4KKI/ref=ox...

I love the colours and it's at a good price but again - some people are saying it keeps them very warm or at least warm. What is your experience? Would this warmth interfere with the coolness of a fan especially in the summer? Any help would be great thanks guys!!

Update:

I currently sleep with a feathered duvet that's thin now.

Linen comforters are also preferable as they provides warm feeling in the spring season. Linen is the best material in the matter of comforters .

Hi - if I was you perhaps do what I do and that is apart from the bottom sheet you actually lie on - I always have a top sheet and then either the duvet or comforter on top and then if you get too warm you can just use the top sheet and fold your duvet or comforter to the bottom of the bed and pull it up again if you get cold :)

So, your top sheet would be a 'flat sheet' - well that is what they call them in the uk!

    Hope this helps :)

The whole point of a comforter is to warm you up.
