How to open a file infected by virus?
I had a word xl file in a pen drive. When I downloaded it to the PC, the file could not be opened saying "File is empty". I scanned it but no use.
These word xl data were downloaded from the internet.
I removed the Pen Drive and now this particular file cannot be opened at all, even within the Pen Drive.
Please tell me how to rectify this to recover this file.

That file is corrupted, if you want your computer safe, do not attempt to open it.
better download it again or try a new source for the same file.
