Will ATOS terminating their contract affect benefits payments?

The benefits testing company is talking about leaving its contract early because the benefits system isnt working. We've had a lot of trouble recently in the UK with people missing payments for one reason or another, is this like to cause more problems?

ATOS were not the only company performing the tests, however regardless of which company performed the tests ATOS was always blamed.

I am guessing someone made a serious and viable threat - companies do not walk away from 400m contracts unless they have a SERIOUS reason to do so.

Capita also perform work capability assesments.

its a great way NOT to save money - cost 400m - saving -225m. (YES thats minus - it cost more to run than it could save) - source office of statistics - the amount paid is GREATER than the sum claimed, it would be impossible to save ANY MONEY using atos or any other company)

    Fraud detected less THAN 1%

APPEALS over 80% overturned - even solicitors were claiming it is FAR TOO HIGH a success rate.
