What are the cheap neighborhoods in Reno?
I don't want to live IN The Hood, but I don't mind living right next to it, lol. In other, more PC words, in what neighborhood might I find a cheap apartment in the Reno area?

Both sides of Virginia street south of Plumb Lane. You will find an increase in numbers of apartments. As you get further to the east towards the Airport you will find more gang activity.
North around the university you will find more expensive apartments with a lot of apartments rented to college students rooming together. If you do not mind a roommate then that might be an option.
