So what happens to all the Ukrainian nationals who remain in Crimea & East Ukraine?
They can't just pack up and go west to Kiev, they have homes & jobs & businesses farms etc. Does Putin believe they will want to be part of Russia?
Or are the Ruskies planning a little surprise for those who remain unloyal to newly Russian Crimea & probably East Ukraine?

If NATO forces don't help with this situation, the Russians will just change everyones citizenships whether they are for or against becoming Russian. If the Ukrainians decide to live, Like Now they will most likely have to leave everything behind, including their bank accounts, life insurance policies, medical, homes and businesses and schools. Let's hope that NATO will come in very soon so that doesn't happen to anyone that's Ukrainian and lives in Crimea.

About 3 million Ukrainians are currently working in Russia (in regions other than Crimea). Lots of Ukrainians have property in Russia, including homes, appartments and land. Lots of businesses are promoted and run by Ukrainian nationals in Russia.
It's OK for them, it's legal and normal. Why do you think it will be different for those who are going to remain Ukrainian nationals in Crimea?
The only right they won't have is to elect and be elected legislators. But it's true for all the foreigners worldwide. Americans in Russia are not allowed to vote either, but they don't suffer.
When any Ukrainian elections are held, Ukrainian authorities establish several stations for Ukrainian nationals to be able to vote. The same thing will be in Crimea as well.
They are going to have a presidential election in May, OK, we'll see what they will do to solve this situation.

Russia is a democracy just like the United States.Crimeans' will become Russians'and the currency will change.Russian government is not going to change a lot of what people do.They just needed to keep their naval base in Crimea and Ukraine was going to close it down in 2017.

No, they HAD homes, jobs, businesses, & farms. What makes you think that the Russians will extend property rights to them. Russian troops will show up at their door, and say "This property is now owned by the state, you have 24 hours to pack up your belongings and leave."
Or, perhaps, they will simply disappear.
