Heart palpitations?
hello! I am a perfectly healthy 16 year old male. My heart should be perfectly healthy too (I had heart surgery to correct a congenital heart problem when I was 4 so they would have picked up any problems then) Lately (for about 2 months) I have been having heart palpitations maybe a few times a week tops. I just started drinking caffeine heavily though, and I was wondering if this could be the cause as it is the only major change in diet? I drink about 2-3 cups of mountain dew 3-5 days a week. It usually starts later in the day and goes away after a few hours. I drink caffiene in the morning. Should I be worried as long as I dont have any other symptoms? Thanks for any advice!

Caffeine can disturb with your heart rate, and cause palpitations. CUT DOWN on that and you should get good results. Even chocolates can do the same.
Experiencing palpitations is very common, but it depends on what reason if it's not a heart related condition I wouldn't be concerned.
I recommend You to see and have a check up with a cardiologist, just to be sure if it's related to a Heart condition. An echocardiogram will rule out any heart condition
