Scratched sim card?
I just bought a new sim card today, and my phone ended up giving it a few scratches. Will scratches affect the sim card? Will I have to worry about my phone randomly not picking up any signal because of a scratched sim card?

Should be ok, unless it's gone right through the contacts, they always pick up some marking.
