Selling photos
It is such a lovely dream - walk around, snap some cute photos, and make some easy money.
I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but there are thousands upon thousands of people out there with the same dream.
Even ordinary stock photo sites are very VERY picky about what they accept. They CAN be that picky, because they have a HUGE pool of photos and photographers to choose from.
"Stationary companies", i.e. people like Hallmark who make greeting cards etc, also have millions of photos to choose from.
If you take an exceptionally good photo, you may possibly be able to sell it. Sometimes we're lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and get that very unusual shot, but for the most part you're just one little fish in a huge ocean.
A quick google search for stock photography will get you plenty of websites. Keep trying, cross fingers, and maybe you'll get lucky some day. Just don't count on an income from it.

Yes. However keep in mind that photographers are self employed and as such you have to treat it like any small business. That means both investment and risk. It takes about $20,000 worth of equipment and marketing to get started at photography. It is a relatively small investment compared to opening a restaurant or a retail store, but it is still significant. Also, keep in mind that less than half of all new businesses succeed. So before you start, you need to ask yourself if you can afford it and if you can risk losing it. That being said, if you have the business acumen to succeed, photography is a very rewarding career. I have been doing it for ten years, regularly publish in international magazines, and am able make my own hours, get 12 weeks of vacation every year, and travel the world.

To make money from photography you need to have the ability to create an image that someone is willing to pay for...
Most contributors on here actually enjoy photography, either experimenting with different camera equipment or just enjoy the challenges involved with capturing decent images...that's important...if making money is your priority then you are more interested in making money, than you are in photography...
What i'm really saying to you is...if you are interested in photography then you won't mind learning how to produce good shots...(that isn't what your question is about)...if you can make good quality images then someone might ask you to photograph something for them.

DSLR photography doesn't need to be over-complicated. This online photography course has been developed for beginners - intermediate levels and will teach you how to make the best use of your DSLR camera. https://tr.im/GxjBF
Learning how to confidently use your DSLR will help you get full value out of this awesome camera you have already paid for!
This course has been developed after seeing many potential photographers give up far too soon, wasting good money they have spent on the purchase of their DSLR camera.

You will have to join the back of a very long queue. Every one these days think they can make money from their snapshots. Billions of people around the world have a camera of some sort and so images will only sell if they are PERFECT in composition, exposure and originality.
