Poll, Why isn't Yahoo Answers any fun? What has happened to Yahoo Answers?

Yes It used to be fun until they change it to the purple format and hidden most of the contacts you have and just plain screwing up everything. Do I was using FF on Y/A but now I am on IE9 and using the green format. Lots of people have left because they do not like the purple format because it made it harder for them to read/see or to even navigate on this new format. They can't see what their contacts are doing unless they click on their avatar. open you email so I can tell you more or if you need help. I am one of them that can't see your page because you have it set to private on the new format. Glad you're back "Sweet Judy"!

Use the old format by downloading the User-Agent switcher extension on Google Chrome, and switch it to Internet Explorer 7

I think there's too much competition out there so people just find a new site and just move on sort of like the migration that took place from MySpace to Facebook to YouTube to Twitter, etc. Its wherever someone wants to spend their time, and if they are like me, time is is short supply. That said, I'm still here - every now and then that is.

I agree. I think we should (the users that agree with you) find a new place to go like a forum or whatever, and just move there.

I can appreciate what Yahoo is trying to do, and I think the lack of connection between users was intentional, but yeah as far as just a place to come and laugh I don't think it's as good as it was before.

I have to admit that my entire psychology on this site has changed. I actually put effort into my answers now.

because it got swallowed up in it's own self belief that it needed to make change for " changes " sake , instead they ( yahoo ) have screwded up a perfectly good enjoyable format , that a lot of people like yourself , did just that , but perhaps because of the need for revenue ( because we are now inundated with ads ) they chose to move with what they consider the " times " , from where i sit , all it has done , it's invited the " smut " into the it waves .i was happy to get a response tonight which informed me ali baba , magicicians , and escort agencies out of india are spam bot , oh and i forgot our comic strips . so you see while yahoo thinks the sinking of a perfectly seaworthy ship is ok , they need to have a real good hard look at themselves , because this is not enjoyable any more , it's a waste of time --- good luck

I know right?? Back then when I was like 12 and 13 it use to be crunk!! I literally got on here every day/night and I use to get about 30+ answers each question. Now..... It's just boring! :(

It's still the same for fun - there seems to be a never ending supply of idiots to bait.

If you install user agent overrider for firefox you can have the green layout with IE6 but sometimes you need to turn it off if you want to show your mails.

too many reporter trolls so the fun people have left...also, the Y!A staff have no clue what they're doing, if they're even doing anything.

the awful flashing ads are driving me away , and just now when I clicked to answer ,it took me to an add, wasting my time ,annoying enough to to not bother any more.
