BF4 is a game with an emphasis on teamwork, so if you can play with a squad where everyone has headsets, you will do much better than trying to play alone.
Whenever possible, make sure you have someone watching your six, whether it be a sniper or someone else. This prevents getting stabbed or shot in the back, leading to a longer life.
Balance your squad. If you have a squad of 4 or 5, have everybody play different roles. Having a squad of 5 is ideal, because you can have a support gunner, engineer, sniper, and 2 medics. This helps prevent your squad from being wiped when one of your medics goes down in a big firefight.
Guns ultimately come down to preference, not stats, as you'll see in my list.
I have 3 favorite guns for every class:
Assault -
*M416
*Scar-H
*Ace 23
Engineer -
*G36C
*Mtar 21
*PDW R
Support -
*AWS
*RPK 12
*M60 E4
Recon -
*SRR 61
*AK5C
*Scar-H SV
Feel free to add me on PSN if you want to squad up with me sometime.
