Toxic cage for parrot?

I am building an all wire cage to go on the complete outside of a window so that my Macaw can go outside without flying away.

I am really concerned about getting any kind of wire that would be toxic to him. I plan on going to a home improvement center for everything..

Could use all the info I can get... I love my boid!

    As long as the wire is not painted or covered with a plastic coating then a strong wire like a fence wire would be good...good luck
