how do fish obtain food?

i think this question is pretty straight forward. i am looking for a better answer than eating since it is kinda obvious that fish eat because they are animals. It is for a science project and I'm having trouble finding how they eat i only can find that they consume which i think everyone who can read this knows that but thx

Well fish can obtain food in many ways some fish are predatory meaning they stalk, ambush, and lure other fish and eat them. Some are scavengers where they look for left overs and things they can eat usually they are bottom feeders or top feeders. Some fish also use their gills to obtain food. They use their gills like a filter and will trap plankton and other small forms of food. I hope this helps you.
