Weird dreams of peeing and not wetting the bed?

I had a few random dreams where I was peeing a gallon amount just standing there peeing. When I woke up, I checked myself, and I was dry as a bone. What's going on?

This happened multiple times and these dreams were lucid and I was in control. I would just wake up with morning wood.

Consider yourself lucky. I think this is a common dream, so be glad you wake up dry. I've had these as well and wake up dry, which is strange because of how much I thought I peed and how real it felt, but relieved it did not happen. The erection is normal during REM dream sleep. Actually, the erection might have "saved" you. On one hand a full bladder can put pressure on the prostate and cause an erection. But an erection has the side effect of causing a valve to shut off the flow of urine from your bladder. So basically if you were not erect you might have actually peed.

I've actually had a few instances where I DID wet a little, but never more than a second and I could never figure out why. In those cases I had an erection also. One theory is I started to pee just as the erection was stiffening and it shut off the flow almost in the nick of time. That seems like too much of a lucky coincidence. I have second theory but it is longer and more complex. I posted it previously but if interested you can email me.

Finally, I've had dreams like this that were also wet dreams. I guess the only version I have not had (at least since I was a baby, which I forget) is having a complete wetting accident.
