can i leave home and live with my friend at age 16?
i live with my aunt and she said i have to either go to boarding school or find somewhere else to live but there is no way i can stay with her anymore. i've talked to my friend and her family and they have agreed to let me live with them and so has my aunt but i don't know if its legal. can anyone please tell me the legal steps i have to take? if there's any personal experience you'd like to share, that'd be awesome. thanks in advance.

It is legal to even live on your own at 16. You just need to take it to court, the only thing is, you HAVE to get permission from your guardian. It is a really big deal and people take it extremely seriously.
