Do I have to let my insurance adjuster know if I have a attorney or have been consulting with one?
I recently filed a demand notice on my insurance company for payment. The adjuster sent me a email stating that before they release any funds they want to know do I have a lawyer have I consulted with one and have I filed a lawsuit against them. Am I obligated to disclose this information to them? Also can I ask for a new claims adjuster?

You are required to disclose information if you filed suit. If you did, you will not get anything until the suit is settled. If you said that you did not file, and get your payment, but you did file, then you will be charged with fraud.
You can ask for a new adjuster, but the insurer is under no obligation to grant your request.
