pap smear abnormal?

Hi im 27 years old and I need some advise im quiet scared worried I was due for my pap smear test was called back in as it was abnormal and it said possible high grade squamous lesion and I have to go have colposcopy and biopsy recommend my last 2 pap smears were fine and they used a new thin prep pap I think its called I was reading if theres any irritation ect it can give a positive reading for cells abnormal my dr told me no thats not true but some how I think hes wrong has anyone been in the same situation and what treatment do they do do u think this could be a wrong reading pleaas help me ease my mind

    We're individuals: even if I had the exact some details as your problem I wouldn't be able to predict the outcome based on my experience, because we're 2 different people...

    Do the tests, and have this discussion with your doctor, not the internet.

    Don't be afraid to seek a second or third opinion if you're not happy with what your doctor is telling you.
