I want to sing I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab Fir Cutie but I don't want to sing it as high as he is. So how do I bring it down so I can sing it and play guitar to it? Originally on guitar there is a capo on the 5th fret do I just take it off? I know the original key of the song is F.

Yes, just take the capo off.....or move it to a lower fret. The whole point of a capo is to let you change key without changing the fingering. If playing the song with no capo is too low, try it on the second or third fret.
