wow...I haven't heard one case where so much money has ben paid out...and yet MR ellis case of payment $ 25,000 was with drawn and not paid ...
yet the church has assets of....$`1,2 billion..AND PAYS A FORTUNE TO SOLICITORS..

What does subliminal mean? The money wasn't paid out over one case. It was several, perhaps many cases.
If the matters went to trial they would have been paying out Barristers.
The Catholic Church in Australia is not a corporate entity. It is the Sydney Archdiocese that holds $1.2 billion.

The money probably has been paid out to sexual abuse victims. The problem is that, to get compensation, these victims had to sign a written agreement never to discuss the case with anyone. These cases were dealt with outside the courts, so there is no way they could be reported
