Would melted lard mixed with salt taste good over popcorn?

I want to make some popcorn but I don't have any butter to put on it. I have some lard, and I was wondering if it would taste good if I melted some and mixed in some salt?

Update:

Thank you all for your answers. I thought about it, and I figured lard and salt wouldn't taste very good so I just ate the popcorn plain. Still tasted good

The thought of consuming lard turns my stomach. Mixing it with something incredibly healthy like pop corn really turns my stomach.

I don't know; lard doesn't have a lot of flavor by itself. Try some, very sparingly, on just a small amount of popcorn before dousing the whole batch.

Lard doesn't taste like anything. Use olive oil or a nut oil if you have any.

bacon fat would have more flavor.

If you do try lard, be VERY sparing with it. YOu could sprinkle with seasoned salt then.

To veganmom, back in the day, poor kids often went to school with lard sandwiches. You do what you can with what you got.
