Atheists, how do you account for this?

Christianity has changed so many lives. Take for example, Brian "Head" Welch, former Korn band member. He quit doing drugs and drinking. The Biblical disciples all were changed. There's a whole website full of testimonies of those whose lives have been changed by the allegedly fake God (iamsecond.com).

Do people who accept other religions change their lives entirely? For example, no more stealing, doing drugs, swearing problems, etc.

Every religion, every self-help method, and every spiritual practice claims changed lives. If that proves Christianity is true, it also proves that all the others are true.

Or you could accept that the real explanation is that people find something that gives them a framework for their life and a way of managing that works for them.

Yes. Many have said the same about Islam, Sikhism, the Urantia Book, etc.

And by the way I don't steal, do illegal drugs, and only swear when I am really upset. I am an atheist.

I was never a theif, only did drugs as a youth, and have always found swearing the refuge of the inarticulate.

Your god fantasy is not neccessary to be a normal human being, and people who don't share it aren't all depraved as you seem to be implying. I guess it does help the weak minded give up bad habits.

And I have met plenty of christian alcoholics who are still drinking.

No more living if you are like the millions killed in crusades, witch trials, inquisitions, stake burnings, etc.

The Vatican taught anti-semitism as doctrine until the 1960s, and the first treaty Nazi Germany made was with the Vatican. Hitler's birthday was celebrated yearly at mass. It could be argued that the holocaust was made possible by the groundwork set by the Catholic church.

We do agree that it can change lives.

Yes. It's sure is strange that according to the statistics listed in the article above, the prison inmate population is overwhelmingly Christian while atheists make up less than a third of a percent.

Indeed it has. It has ruined more lives and more cultures than any other organization in history.

    Killing people changes lives.

Religion is not a positive thing. It is, and has always been a negative force working against humanity itself.

All religion changes lives adversely, we have no need for superstition these days.

God doesn't change people's lives, PEOPLE change people's lives. Don't thank god over yourself.

I don't see how someone quitting smoking if "evidence" of god, it's evidence of people changing..

You tell us evolution and the big bang don't have good evidence/enough evidence, yet you tell us this stupid reason is "proof"

    Appeal to consequences fallacy.

If people "change their lives" after being christians, does that make christianity "true?" Nope.

Does *everyone* who becomes a christian "change their lives?" Nope.

Is becoming a christian the ONLY way to "change your life?" Nope.

    Oops.

You didn't think this through before posting it, did ya?
