Don't be afraid to get shot if you are even the slightest, it can affect your game dramatically. Take risks when there's a good chance you'll get shot most likely if you choose to flank, finding new cover, or jute peeking out of cover if there's a good chance you'll get lots of kills.

- Communication. Letting teammates know where opponents are, and letting teammates know when you're advancing, can help a lot. Heck, just knowing you're not alone is a morale booster.
- Aggression. Not like being mean or nasty, just playing an active role in your success. Most often, the team that pushes harder & faster wins the game. Nothing reckless, like running headfirst, guns blazing like Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, because that will just get you shot out immediately. You want to pop off bursts of shots to force opponents into cover, then bump up bunker to bunker, rinse & repeat. Hopefully, done in tandem with other teammates. Don't hang back. Hanging back doesn't help your team, it only ends up being a slow and painful loss.
- Aim, for goodness sake. Familiarize yourself with your marker setup. Practice aiming & shooting, see where the ball lands, adjust your grip & position accordingly. Paintballs aren't like bullets or even bb's, they don't fly as straight or as far. It's basically a lesson in physics realizing how paintballs travel.
