Extend a question? (will answer yours)?

Question

Do not tell me there is a drop box, or action box, or edit box.
It doesn't exist on my browser. it isnt here. There IS a pencil button but the ONLY option it gives me is to put an update on my question. How do I extend my question?

Questions now are all open for seven days so there is no need to extend them, so Yahoo took away that option.

You can no longer extend a question. If there are no answers after 7 days it is deleted. You have no time limit to pick the best answer. Once the bugs are fixed there will no longer be a vote.

Are questions 'now 'automatically extended' from what they were before?

I can't even get Questions to post for me in the first place, for two or three days, now.

This says: "If your question doesn't receive any answers, you can extend the open period":

However, this is what it opens, & I see nothing about extending a questions anywhere, 
as the page that opens is entirely about Choosing a Best Answer:

Although, there is a link: "Contact Us for Product Issues" . . . at the right of the page.

To Add to your Question use the Pencil option . Adding to a question is better then deleting your question even if you change your question from its original question to get and answer for it.
