Would i be able to hide a tongue piercing from my parents?

So i am planning on waiting till i pass highschool or when i turn 18 to get a piercing because i am only 14 right now and my parents definitely wouldnt approve of letting me get one at 14. They are very strict, and i tried to convince them to let me get one when im older since it's not permanent like a tattoo (i mentioned this because my dad has 3 large tattoos) and that i can take it out around them. They still said no. So im just going to get them eventually when i move out or something like that. By then, since i wont be living with my parents, would i be able to hide it by just staying out of their house? And if i were to get it now from a friend, would i be able to hide it by using clear balls on the bar, and just talking without having my mouth wide open, maybe chew some gum?

Yes you can hide a tongue piercing just don't do it yourself like the other persons friend did no props should be given she could have potentially killed herself or lost an obscene amount of blood if she would have hit the vein that professionals look at to even see if your tongue can be pierced. I have mine done and nobody that I.talk to even notice it the only way people would is if you're sticking your tongue out constantly. You will talk with a lisp for like a week but if you concentrate on your words other people won't really notice it.

simple answer, no. my friend pierced her own tongue (which i would NOT recommend) with a needle. ive got to give her props, i definitely dont have the balls to put a needle through my own tongue (not that i would ever want to). but she did it and it was centered and everything. she put the tongue ring in and everything was all good. she did not want her parents finding out she did it until a few days later or else they would know she pierced it herself. after she pierced it and put the tongue ring through, we went downstairs where her parents were. after the very first sentence that came out of her mouth, her parents knew something was wrong. they ended up finding out. you talk with a very heavy lisp for about 2 weeks after getting it pierced. i would either try to convince your parents to let you get it pierced now or wait until your older. and definitely DO NOT pierce it yourself, get a professional to do it.

A piercing is not a big deal. If you do it, or if you don't do it it's up to you. But what will your parents do to you if you do it? I am not saying you should not convience and shuld not listen to your parents ut it just doesn't affect your life and there's nothing wrong with it.
