what has happened to yahoo messenger?
it seems to have stopped working totally? not even friends of mine in other places have theirs working?

You should try downloading the latest version of yahoo messenger.
Although it seems that Yahoo has not recently released any updates, since it may have lost on other messenger apps out there and they are concentrating on other products
