How to report and get rid of people using your name for emails?
My old yahoo email was hacked. Spam was being sent to EVERYBODY in my contact list. I have since deleted the email account and closed it out. But now I am getting emails from other email addresses with MY name. So now it's likely that my REAL emails to friends and customers are ending up in spam folders!
How do I get rid of these emails? How can I report them? Have them shut down? How can I keep spam-bots from using MY NAME to create email accounts and sending emails out pretending to be me?

Once a hacker has copied your contact list they no longer need access to your account in order to send "spoofed" emails that appear to come from you. The following article has more information.

I'd recommend using the Spamcop service - http://www.spamcop.net/ to track these emails and send complaints back to where they came from.
