Potassium Sulfite?
I am at a loss here, my question is asking to give the total and net ionic balanced equations with state symbols for the reaction:
Potassium Sulfite reacts with Copper (II) Oxide and I came up with:
K2SO3(aq) + CuO(aq) --> CuSO3(aq) + K2O(aq)
It seems too easy considering everything is balanced and the net would be the same? Am I right?
Also the next one asked for the same stuff but when reacting Ammonium Carbonate and nitric acid: For that one I came up with:
(NH4)2CO3 (aq) + 2HNO3 (aq) ---> 2NH4NO3 (aq) + H2O (l) + CO2 (g)
Is this correct?

As you suspected, the reaction
K2SO3(aq) + CuO(aq) --> CuSO3(aq) + K2O(aq)
is not correct. Copper (II) is an oxidizing agent and sulfite is a reducing agent, so they partake in a redox reaction instead of simple displacement.
