Musician Stories?

The best selection of musician stories I've ever read is at The Katman's Cigar Review Blog,
The Katman, aka Phillip Kohn, also happens to be the former bassist with Curved Air and wraps up a good proportion of his reviews with wonderful stories of life as a rock demigod in the 70s.
Highly recommended, even to non-smokers.

Circa 1988, at the Sunset Pub in Sunset Beach, CA-
As I was trying to get acquainted with a young lady during a Mighty Flyers' gig (had seen them there and elsewhere about a hundred times by that point) Rod Piazza leaned over in the middle of a harp solo (and our conversation) and said "I love you baby but you're blocking my amp"
Circa 1997, at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica, where I was attending the "Legends Of Folk" show featuring U. Utah Phillips. "Spider" John Koerner, and "Ramblin" Jack Elliott. During the intermission, I got a cup of coffee and went outside for a smoke. Coming back in to the front, store area, I almost bumped into Bob Neuwirth, Ramblin' Jack, and a young woman who turned out to be Jack's daughter. Jack was holding something in his hand and asking Neuwirth what it was going to do. Neuwirth was telling him not to worry, just take it, he'd enjoy it. The young woman was getting increasingly agitated and telling Jack "Don't take it dad, don't listen to him, he always causes trouble", while also telling Neuwirth to stay away from her Dad. It was worth the price of the ticket just to see that scene ;)

James Cotton, wolfing down a giant cheeseburger at the Soup Kitchen Saloon in Detroit. Asked if he needed anything. Mouth full of burger: "Joints and white girls."
Wow, Curved Air. "It Happened Today". I saw them open for Johnny Winter And at A Warehouse in New Orleans, 1971. (Hippie wordplay for "aware house", because it was once a warehouse along the docks.) I was enthralled with their female singer.
