Invisalign is hurting my gums?

I got my braces off yesterday. I'm using Invisalign for my retainer. The bottom part is fine. But the top. On the inside it covers a good part of my gums. And it hurts. My orthodontist said if it's irritating me to just bend it back so it's not pressing on my gums. Maybe it's just my gums swelled up from the braces? Idk what to do. It hurts.

I have the same retainers; it's because your teeth and therefore your gums have slightly shifted. Try filing it down, or putting wax on it. If all else fails do what the ortho said- soak JUST that part in hot water until it's soft, and then bend it back

Invisalign doesn't cover the gums - what you have is an invisible or clear retainer.

Ask your orthodontist to cut it back for you.
