Please talk to a doctor about not having money for the medication, at least, to let him/her know that you're feeling so depressed. There may be a discount medication *program* for those with mental illness (though, I'm not sure of the qualifications to possibly get approved). Perhaps the pharmaceutical manufacturer has a discount medication program, too.

If you're feeling unsafe, really depressed or suicidal, please ask a trusted person to either drive you to the nearest emergency room or call 9-1-1.

I'm wondering if you're able to get enough medication to last for a few days until figuring out how to get the prescription filled as well.

Here is the website for "geodon" and their FAQ section, which includes info re: their $4.00 co-pay card for the "brand" name (as opposed to the generic) : https://www.geodon.com/copay-card-faqs.aspx and can scroll down the page for certain answers to questions.

If one does qualify for the $4.00 co-pay card to purchase "geodon", then one may get a "temporary" card to be able to use it quicker than the few weeks that it may take for the actual co-pay card to arrive through the mail.

A general precaution for the medication that it's *not* supposed to be stopped abruptly or withdrawal symptoms may occur. Please talk to your doctor before stopping any psychotropic (or other) meds, including your current one(s).

The "depression and bipolar support alliance" has more general info and resources (though, *not* in place of talking to your doctor or seeking medical treatment): http://www.dbsalliance.org/

The "anxiety and depression association of America" has more *general* info, too: http://www.adaa.org/

it might be wise to consult a professional who is qualified to diagnose and treat depressive disorders. When a biochemical imbalance is involved, medication may be prescribed. In other cases, a program of counseling might be recommended to help the sufferer learn how to cope with his or her condition.CVS Clinic maybe?
