Should I just move on?

Okay so I've been best friends with this person since elementary school. We're both guys and are both 19 by the way. Now the last time I hung out with him was probably about four months ago. Since then I haven't texted him at all, which I admit is wrong of me. I've also been busy with college since I'm about to graduate and work and haven't had a lot of free time. That's also why I haven't texted him at all. Well a week ago I texted him and he got all upset and rude with me about how I never text him. I told him I admit I could've, but at the same time he could've texted me just the same, right? His excuse was because he didn't want to bother me, which is kinda a cop out to me. At least I admitted my faults. So anyways I've texted him twice now and he has ignored me. He also removed me as a friend on Facebook. Another thing is when I texted him that day he made a Facebook status about friends and how they act like your friend after ignoring you or whatever. I'm a little hurt over how he acted, but I kinda expected it because he's really immature and childish for his age whereas I've always been very mature. I know I shouldn't have ignored him that long, but it seems like he thinks it's solely my fault. Now of course we have very different goals as I'm trying to finish college as fast as possible and he's just working doing whatever. I just feel it's a shame that it ended up like this since were literally the best a friends before. So my question is, should I just move on?

I'd try to friend request him on facebook and see if he accepts it, if not maybe send him a fb message or text and apologize again for not talking to him and then say something like i'm not going to keep making attempts at fixing our friendship if you're just going to ignore me too, and tell him if he wants to try to fix things you'll be there but if not then you're going to stop trying because you don't want to be annoying

if he didn't ignore you and remove you from facebook I would have said no. I'd make a last ditch attempt then at least he can't say you didn't try. Perhaps he had things going on and wanted to rely on you or perhaps he just is really childish. Shame since you've been friends such a long time, if he ignores you again I'd definitely move on.
