How do you teach an "ear" musician how to read sheet music?

This musician has written, sang and played guitar to his own music live at paid gigs and has a very pro cd.but can't read music. Needs to learn for a beginning music theory class. Any ideas? Classes, workshops, online programs?

The fact that a person has an ear for music doesn't change the approach to learning theory or how to read. He/she would learn the same way anyone else would. There are some online resources, but private instruction is always going to be the best route. Imagine going to a school where you could never ask a single question. That's what learning music theory from the internet is.
