Dayspring Canyon Bug- Skyrim: Dawngaurd DLC?
I located Dayspring cave and attempted to enter it but was met with a dark and foggy screen. I am playing a modded Skyrim via PC, but these mods do not tamper with the Dawngaurd DLC at all and should not be the cause of this issue. I am level 30 and the quest marker is on the stage that it is palced at the entrance to Dayspring Canyon. It is an instant effect. I am able to back out of the entrance but the fog and dark tones are constant and do not go away without loading back to a previous save. I really want to enjoy this DLC for the first time and cordially and desperately ask you for your help.
If you know a workaround for this bug or have experienced this before, please, I would love to have your insight on this.
Thank you Andrew, that is most definitely my last resort, I would very much like to keep everything in place if at all possible.

It sounds like a data error with Dawnguard. Try re-installing Dawnguard and see if it goes away.
If that fails, then you might try the game without any mods enabled and see if that cures it. There could be an odd conflict with one or more of your mods and Dawnguard.

I've had the same problem and have disabled all mods, reinstalled skyrim completely, and tried new saves, but nothing seems to work if anyone knows what might cause this it would be great to know.
