is this function odd, even, or neither?
sinx+tanx/secx
I did f(-x)=-sinx-tan(x)/sec(x)
so would that be neither?

Let's work step-by-step... We are given the following function:
f(x) = (sin(x) + tan(x))/sec(x)
Then, we have
f(-x) = (sin(-x) + tan(-x))/sec(-x)
= (-sin(x) - tan(x))/sec(x)
since sec is even, and sin and tan are both odd. So f(x) is not an even function since f(x) is not equal to f(-x). Multiply f(x) by -1 to get:
-f(x) = -(sin(x) + tan(x))/sec(x)
= (-sin(x) - tan(x))/sec(x)
So the function is odd since f(-x) = -f(x).
Hope this helps!
