Are there names you associate with being a gay name. I don't, but someone recently said "everybody knows Justin is a guy name". I find this?
ridiculous. Any thoughts or comments?

Some people in this world (and on this site, alarmingly enough), are both stupid and homophobic - as those traits usually walk hand in hand. I've had a few people in the past come onto my questions, claiming that the boy names I ask about are "gay", and I just don't tolerate that. Because there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with being gay (as stating that a name is "gay" is always supposed to serve as some sort of foul criticism).
Whether people agree with me or not is entirely irrelevant considering the fact that there is no human on this Earth (with a fully functioning brain, mind you), who would honestly believe that a NAME, of all things, can serve as a statement of sexual orientation. And to the people who do believe that, how do you explain the extremely gay Adam Lambert - Adam being one of the most manly names alive? Or Haley Joel Osmet - who is most assuredly straight? -_-
That said, there is ONE name I associate with gay: Gaylord. But I don't think of 'gay' in a homosexual sense. I think of it in the traditional sense, as gay did and still does mean "happy". :)

I mean, when people say "gay name" I think of feminine guy names like River and Courtney. But I don't associate any specific names with being homosexual. A gay guy could be named Brock or Delilah but that doesn't make him any more or less gay.

Where did you see this? Was it like a couple days on here? I mean whoever said that was just expressing their opinions whether you agree with them or not and perhaps you should let it go.
I mean if someone said that the name Parker is geeky you think i would make a couple posts about it?
Of course a name cant determine whether or not someone is gay. Its more of a media thing. Like perhaps the person knew too many justins who were gay; fictional and nonfictional and thats how he/she now precieves the name.

No, names do not make people gay. Maybe the speaker (typer?) simply doesn't like Justin Bieber and doesn't know an adult way of voicing their opinion, so they go for childish.

I think that's ridiculous. A name doesn't change the chemicals in the brain that make someone gay or straight.
