How am I able to add new songs onto my iPod Touch from my new computer without wiping out my songs?
Before you say "You can't.", I know there are some methods out there, so that's already false.
My computer died and a new one is being built. The problem I face is my iPod. I have added songs I've made myself onto the iPod directly without putting it in my iTunes library, and I fear that by putting the iPod onto my new computer, it will wipe out everything in my iPod. My question is how do I add new songs onto my iPod without having to wipe the iPod itself.
I know there's third-party programs that can help as well as the method of using Windows' Reveal hidden folders feature (So yes, I am using Windows), but I worry the methods are old. Is there a way to do it that still works today?

Well then. Just use one of those other methods "out there".
No point in asking a question that you already know the answer to.
Here's a sensible answer, so there's no need to be arrogant: You can use the Transfer Purchases from iPod option under the File menu to copy iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a new computer. You cannot, however, transfer songs from other sources from the iPod library to iTunes. Without the other computer, you're hooped.
Didn't make a back up? Lesson learned.

I fail to understand why you are asking the question, since you already think you have the answer.
