The Onion Router Safety?
Hi,
I have two questions concerning the onion router (TOR);
i) When using TOR, it changes my IP address. If the exit node wanted to check my IP, would they see the altered IP or my original IP?
ii) When watching Flash videos (e.g., YouTube) or using Java Script (or other third party browser plugins) they run as my user account with my permissions in my operating system. Does that mean that they, potentially, can bypass TOR and share my information?
Also if, say, YouTube did bypass TOR, would they see my original IP or my TOR altered IP?
Thanks in advance!

1. They would see the IP address given by Tor. Each node only knows where to send the data (to the next node). They do not know where the data originated.
2. YES they are an anonymity risk and can give away your real ip address:
Don't enable or install browser plugins
The Tor Browser will block browser plugins such as Flash, RealPlayer, Quicktime, and others: they can be manipulated into revealing your IP address. Similarly, we do not recommend installing additional addons or plugins into the Tor Browser, as these may bypass Tor or otherwise harm your anonymity and privacy. The lack of plugins means that Youtube videos are blocked by default, but Youtube does provide an experimental opt-in feature (enable it here) that works for some videos.

I suggest to not use the Tor Bundle, nor use your everyday OS. There are just too many things that will tell on you (especially Windows machines). Use either Liberte Linux or TAILS ond boot to it on a usb drive.
There are several reasons Adobe flash player is not included with any Tor software:
It is proprietary software which prevents us from legally including it in Tails.
It is closed source and so we have no idea of what it really does.
It has a very long history of serious security vulnerabilities.
It is known to favor privacy invasive technologies such as Flash cookies.
Adobe only maintains their GNU/Linux Flash plugin for Google Chrome.
But you can already watch HTML5 videos with the Tor browser.
