An atheist lives without hope then dies without hope, true?

So, why do atheists want to take away the hope a Christian has?

Is it jealousy or what?

    Dear Enquirer,

I have to admit, to have a faith is a luxury, a luxury which I do not posses. To be able to lay all your heart to the Almighty is something that require a lot of courage and again, faith. It's not that atheist do not have hope, I do. But I see things the way it appears. A table is a table, it's solid, made out of wood and so on. Sometime I'm so busy trying to get through things that a subtle idea like hope is something at the very edge of my mind, because like I said, something is something, 1+1=2, It cannot change.

So yea, I have hope, but I just do not have the ability to hold onto it.

Only someone daft and dumb would say atheism is living without hope. If you are unable to see your life without god, because that is the only thing that gives meaning or relevance to your life, I honestly do not give a damn. But don't project your inability to face reality without your comforting, warm, fuzzy feeling belief on others.

It only makes you look ignorant. I don't live without hope, I have everything to life for and nothing to die for. This life is the only one I have and I shall treat it as such. I don't use it as a test to see whether or not I get into the "promised" land nor do I treat this world as a place to "wipe your feet" either. Thats one of the reasons why there is so many issues now. When people are so convinced of something, they tend to act out in ways they normally would not.

Sad really that a supposed Christian posts like that!

I am sure that like all real Christians the atheists would rather that you discovered how to believe in the loving god and how to act as if you do!

Why so blind to what causes the backlash against Christianity?

ALL the other religions and atheists live in peace and are ONLY attacked by BAD Christians which causes all GOOD Christians to despair at the damage they do!

The self destruction of Christianity is underway and the only thing that can stop it is to abandon the terrible human emotions, seek to rediscover the idea of a loving god and act like it!

Posts like yours that drive people further away from God are driving you towards hell.

So who are you working for the devil or the antichrist because it sure ain't the loving god!

Quote: "Anybody can have hope without having faith, but nobody who has faith is without hope."

Do not know who first said that, but it is true. Atheists do have hopes (and fears) like the rest of us, yet they are without faith. It is faith that surpasses mere hope to take hold on that which will last forever. It really is not jealousy that might cause a few atheists to come across as jealous of Christian faith - they simply despise those who can see the eternal verities. AiH

Hmmm Atheism, another institution of mind we mentally chose to join.

The ego always looks for a place to lay it's head and even construes it's own reality.

The major faiths do tell us to avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: However, today it seems science has become a God which people follow, embroiled in the logical pursuit of objective truth for some it is the mere servant. This is contrary to (Luke 9:58) - Difficult when concomitant/embroiled with Imperial life. (Cosmic intractability, the basis for our obdurate theses/obstinate goal)

I think people who pigeon hole them selves as Atheists just watch to many documentaries and wild life programs, and listen to people like Richard Dawkins – amongst others.

(Due to the insidious nature of plausibility) ~ (I sound as though I know what I'm talking about) - and formatory thinking, people tend to believe peerage)- Buy the dream – (Some say Spiritual sleep)

Not true..we simply Live In Reality..

That thing that christians run and hide from at all cost..

terrified that if they acknowledge reality,,it will destroy their beliefs in a Mythological godling...

    False.

There are many secular reasons for hope.

I'll even argue that is the only real hope, and every other kind is just false hope...

    Yes.

I heard somewhere that if you hope really hard, you can magic up an afterlife.

Being an Atheist has nothing to do with wanting to take away your hope. It's about just not believing that there is a God. Nothing more, nothing less. Our lack of belief is not taking away your hope. I am certainly not jealous either.

That sounds about right. They believe man is an end to himself that there is nothing after death so they have no hope. To them there is no true purpose to their lives because death means the end of them and the human race. And it's not that they are jealous that people with faith have hope in something more being after death in which their lives have purpose it's that they don't want people to have this hope which is why they try so hard to disprove the existence of God whom they know exists in their hearts. If they truly do not believe that God exists they wouldn't find the need to disprove God's existence.
