No.
No opening ceremony held this year. However, IPL autority told that this year have chance to start opening ceremony on 15 april, 2014. At last IPL opening ceremony isn't held. A large amount of TV channel & websites spread this news about opening ceremony cause they got news from IPL organizer.

The games are usually broadcasted on ITV 4 every year but I'm pretty sure there is no opening ceremony as it would've been advertised...
