International On Caller Display?

The last few days I have been getting nuisance calls, but on the caller display it says International. I answered the first time, as I have friends who live abroad so I just assumed one of them was calling me.

When I answered the phone, it just hung up right away. This evening, they have called again so I left it and when my answer machine kicked in, the line went dead again.

I was wondering if anyone else in the UK was having the same issue.

I've had annoying calls before, but my caller ID usually says number withheld or unavailable. International is a new one on me!

yep I get these all the time, I had a preferential service tag on my line which basically stopped cold callers from calling me, but this only work for calls in the UK, it seems like these companies are getting around this loophole by calling from abroad. I just let the answering machine deal with em now
