Brothers and sisters, why do we tell people about Jesus?

Many people say that we think ourselves self-righteous and bigoted for saying that there is only one God, He does exist, and Jesus did die for our sins because God loves us.

But I ask you, why do we tell people about Jesus? That he is the only way to salvation?

Who is this for? Do we say this to make us look good? Why not keep the gospel to ourselves and never tell anyone?

What did God do in our lives to make us want to share Him with others?

"But I ask you, why do we tell people about Jesus? That he is the only way to salvation?"

    Acts 4:12

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

"Who is this for? Do we say this to make us look good?"

    Romans 3:21-26

21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all[a] who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

It would be one thing if you all said, "Consider my god and Jesus... Here's what I believe..." like most other world religious people.

But when you add in, "... and this is the only right answer. It's the only god." you ARE calling that other person wrong if they don't currently hold your beliefs and it is bigoted.

"Picture this scenario. Thousands of years from Genesis to Malachi or I would go further, to John the Baptist, who is technically the last prophet of God OT coming into the NT , and chosen by Almighty God to herald in the Messiah Jesus Christ. Up until that time, no one ever heard of the Torah or the OT, because that is how God designed it, to be revealed in the time of Messiah and through Messiah Jesus Christ. Genesis 3:15 is the promise of Jesus Christ, and revealed in the time of the Gentiles. I am not a betting person. But if I were, after thousands of years, who would have thought that the Jews would be put on the back burner, for the Gentiles to come in.Isaiah 65:1"I AM sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name." This is in reference to the Gentiles who were not part of the Jews.

Until the preaching of John the Baptist who was rejected by the Jewish church leaders, the common man, thus we see the Samaritan, the Roman soldier, the prostitute, the tax collector, and in the Acts 2 full explosion of the gospel coming to all people of any tongue, language, tribe or creed or persuasion. All who are weary are invited by Jesus to come. We see a wide spectrum of every type of person being saved by Jesus Christ. We as Christians, are put here on earth to be the light of the world. And salvation was imparted to Gentiles, because of God including them as John 3:16 states. When we speak the gospel, we do not know who will be listening and who will be rejecting. We do not have to concern ourselves with rejections. The Jews had God to themselves, now it is the time of the Gentiles, and we have to do as much as we can, because we will be winning souls for the kingdom of God. Jesus in Matthew 28v17-20

And when they saw him, they worshiped him: but some doubted.

V18:"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

V19:"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

V20:"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." This is called "The Great Commission" given by our Lord and Saviour. In Luke 19:v12-13:"He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.

V13:"And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come." Occupy till he comes for the Christian means, to spread the gospel, win souls, be the kingdom of God here on earth, and to depend on the Holy Spirit for guidance in these things.

Trust me - everybody already knows about Jesus. Your witnessing to others isn't going to tell them anything new.
