Westerners and Astrology?

There is a difference between being educated and conditioned. Your idea of an educated Westerner is one who is conditioned as you are and thinks like you do. Calling it "educated," isn't accurate. An educated individual does not assume, apriori, that something isn't true because they think it can't be true. An educated individual realizes there is so much more than they can possibly know and therefore should investigate before they mouth off. Conditioned people are so sure they're right, it becomes inconceivable to them that anything outside their little world cannot be real.

So the question is simply snobbish, and uneducated, and insulting as it states that there is only the West and the third world

See, you're no different or more "educated" than anyone else that comes onto Horoscopes looking for an argument, and everyone here already knows that. It doesn't matter how you chose to phrase your "question" in the beginning, once people start answering with things you don't want to see, you all resort to the same tired insults.

Oh waah, you don't like the answers you're getting, who cares. People base their lives off of lies every day for all sorts of reasons. Go write a letter to your congressman, see of that'll make people think your way.

Update: Stating that you're talking about "educated" westerners isn't going to change anyone's answer. Make as many updates as you please. There's STILL nothing you can do about what other people chose to think, do, or believe, whether you like it or not.

What is it that you think people are basing their lives on? As for money - well I've seen that one before on here and there's no way for anyone to make money on here.

I think because you know absolutely nothing about what you're criticising you haven't really got to grips what it is you're arguing about.

If you state clearly what it is you think is wrong then state it but you haven't stated what this is.

It would be nice if astrology would clearly state what it does better than random chance. But the inconsistency and contradictions mean that can't happen.
