dragged into friends love affair issues.?

So me, ryan, Ashley, and thomas were all really good friends but we lived far apart. Ashley and thomas are married but she soon began a romantic relationship with ryan. I didnt know that was going on because its none of my business but we took a trip to georgia and she did strange things like pay special attention to ryan so id have to share a bed with thomas which was uncomfortable and then one night with ryan, also uncomfortable.

Then i asked thomas one day if he wanted to watch the super bowl with me and ashley started questioning me as to why i asked him and not someone else.

But it turns out i was just a means to an end. Ryan and thomas would hang out with me to make her jealous but i was oblivious to it.

Now ryan and ashley stopped their fling and wont talk to eachother and i am left stuck in the middle. I am not going to choose sides,

but do you think it was wrong of me to not step in and tell ryan that she didnt want anything serious and just attention and save him some heartache? Should i still be friends with these people? Have you ever been dragged into a mess?
