Whowas it that said on their tombstone" I told you I was sick"?

I saw on tv a mention of someone putting one line on their tombstone saying "I told you I was sick". I want to find out who that person was.

    As others have said, Spike Milligan.

    But it had to be in Gaelic or the church authorities wouldn't allow it: "Duirt me leat go raibh me breoite" = "I told you I was ill". See BBC News http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/southern_counti...

    That said, he was recycling an old joke that goes back to at least the 1950s in the USA: "Legend on Hypochondriac's Tombstone: I TOLD YOU I WAS SICK".
