I think it needed to happen. The Knicks needed to clean the slate and start new. But I think the way it was handled, drawn out and made so public was about the worst most unprofessional way to handle it. Woodson got tossed to the curb by Phil like Jazz on the Fresh Prince.

Somewhere down the line Mike-Dubs lost control of the team..he isn't a bad coach..he did well last year..he just lost control..and the Knicks' antics didn't make it easier..it'll be interesting to see who Phil will bring in

I think it was time for a change. The Knicks have a great roster. Carmelo, J.R Smith, Tyson Chandler and more guys. It was clear Mike Woodson was not doing a good job and that there was time for a change. NBA coaches loose their job easily one example is Vinny del *****.

Someone got to take the blame and since players can't be fired the coach is first to go

I think he's a good coach but that whole NY season they just never got it together so its a good decision and now that he's gone I'd imagine Melo stays, there chemistry seemed off the middle of the season

This is overdue, and now he needs to continue by getting rid of as many on that roster as possible.
