Are there any non lethal moose weapons?
I encountered 2 moose at same time a little distance away from us last year when me and my brother went hiking, that was not spouse to be a moose area but happened.
So I am looking to buy a non lethal weapon for animals specially moose before I go hiking this year, like there is Bear spray and stuff what about moose?

Have you spent any time around horses? You should. If you can look at a horse and determine it's mood by body language and ear position..... you can judge what a moose is up to also.
I live in Alaska. Moose - do not have a highly developed sense of smell, or taste, like a bear does. For this reason do not expect bear spray to work well on a moose.
Me - I carry a few bean bags on my shotgun to move young stupid bears and moose along. You can buy rubber slugs and rubber buck shot in stores - most gun stores in Alaska started to carry these less than lethal rounds last summer.. However - do not use these unless absolutely necessary! Those bean bags - will put a big dent in a 55gal drum. Those rubber slugs and buckshot will go through plywood. You want to nail the moose in the butt with them - but - only when it is facing away from everyone....... you nail them in the butt it is gonna take off fast in the direction it is pointed. And if it is pointed at your tent or friend - it will trample them.

There is only one nonlethal device that could stop a charging moose and that’s the x3w wildlife taser. However its only available to wildlife professionals such as game wardens, forest service officers and biologists working for state or federal agencies. I know moose better than people because like bears I have lived with them around me in Alaska, Montana and some other states. The best defense it to keep a good distance from them. This means you don’t go hiking or biking with thick brush or trees next to you. I know lots of people in Alaska who had a moose charge them and a few that got stomped by them.
DJ gave you a good answer and link about them. Ive tried things that worked on bears such as bear spray, warning shots with a loud gun and very loud noise makers such as the hand air horns used in football games; and most didn’t give a sh-t! So I would not recommend any such defense. The only thing that did help ‘some’ was spraying them full in the face with bear spray aiming for their eyes which did confuse a couple of them because they couldn’t see. However they could still hear just fine and now were even more enraged. So just stay alert and stay away from them.
Edit; People have used bear spray on moose with success but its not 100% effective on moose or bears; I know because I have tried it on both animals. So again I would not depend on it to work. Granted its better than nothing. But please understand that although it has worked some moose went bonkers and charged blindly and instead of running into a tree like one did I know of it could run right over you or a companion. And if the wind blows that stuff back into your face you will be blind for awhile with a mad moose near you.

You know the bear spray would work on a moose too..... I don't think they'd know the difference. And if they did market "moose spray" you'd just be paying extra to have the can marked moose instead of bear.
And despite what I read elsewhere sense of smell has nothing to do with the effectiveness of pepper spray. Not if you're actually hit with the spray. It works on the mucous membranes. But bear spray is not intended to stop a charging bear in its tracks. It's to hit one with that's getting a little too close for comfort to encourage it to head off elsewhere. It would be just as effective on a moose that was doing the same thing. Or on any other creature for that matter. I've used it on dogs with excellent results.

These Moose have ask this same question on Yahoo answers go there and you find out what they were told. From me I think you are in their home with out invite. You have disturbed them. Get out of their way. On their post I was surprised at the number of Bears, mountain lions, wolves, snakes and other mean animals who ask to help them. I think I would find it smarter to hike around the bunnies until you learn about Moose. Moose has four wheel drive. No reverse or brakes. only forward. Moose foot prints on your back will cause damage. Respect the Moose. Study and under stand all wildlife. You are the intruder. Try hiking in N.Y.C. you will be in more danger than in moose country, but if you know what to expect and avoid it you might be safe

The best defence against an aggressive Bull Moose is to shoot it's Rack (antler) this will discourage his aggression. (and in the mean time not damage the Moose, only it's pride)
