Are wheel locks effective at deterring theft?
Lots of cars now have locking lug nuts. I've heard lots of horror stories about tire places screwing up the locks trying to get them off.
Does anyone know if they actually stop theft? Or, with stock wheels, are they even stolen much anymore?

I have never had wheel locks and never had wheels stolen. It would seem only a quiet area would be at risk, since it takes time to jack up a car to get the wheels.
