I think the basis of what you are asking is that in a reaction of the mixed anhydride
CF3COOOCCH3
the "leaving group" will be CF3COO^-, not CH3COO^-. The reason for this that CF3COO^- is a weaker base and, therefore, a better leaving group than is CH3COO^-.
